Road maintenance in Brentwood Park, Wesbank, Mfuleni and Kleinvlei

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate wants to inform residents, businesses and the broader public of roadworks along a number of roads in Brentwood Park, Wesbank, Mfuleni and Kleinvlei. The work starts today, 27 May 2024, until Friday, 28 June 2024, between 09:00 and 15:30 on weekdays, provided there are no unforeseen delays.




The roadworks will take place along:

  • Driftsands Road and Inez Avenue in Brentwood Park
  • Wesbank Main Road, Rowallan Crescent and Vogelvlei Main Road in Wesbank
  • Ingilo Street, N Hoboshe Street, F Dodovu Street, W Thafeni Street, Ibhokisi Street and Itenetya Street in Mfuleni 
  • Apollo Street, Venus Street and Mimosa Street in Kleinvlei.

The scope of work includes:
  • Resurfacing of the existing road surfaces 
  • Repair of damaged manholes and kerbs
  • Replacing damaged manholes and kerbs
  • Reinstatement of all road markings removed during the process


‘One of the main aims of doing this kind of work is ensuring that residents, businesses and all road users in these areas benefit from improved road safety conditions and ensuring that tyres are spared from any damage on our roads. The City is working around the clock to ensure that we meet or beat the deadline of 28 June 2024,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
